About the Role
The research teams behind the best-known AI models come to Mercor for business operations judgment they can't generate on their own. Your standards and expertise become the rubric that frontier AI is graded against. This is a standing listing for operators who want AI training and evaluation work, not a specific job opening. It stays open whether or not a matching project is running this week. New projects start on short notice, so instead of posting and pulling a listing each time, we keep one open per field and draw from it when one begins.
What You'll Do
- We match operators in the network to projects like:
- Writing an operating problem from work you have run, with the process, the constraint, and the numbers, plus the reference answer a model's attempt gets graded against
- Grading model-written operational analysis: whether the process change would survive contact with the people who run it, whether the forecast is grounded, whether the metric actually tracks the outcome
- Flagging where a model's recommendation is defensible on a slide and would stall in practice, given headcount, systems, vendor terms, or who has to approve it
- Comparable business operations projects have posted at $90 to $120 an hour, set per project by scope and depth.
- This pool spans the business operations field, including:
- Sales and business development; customer success and account management
- Strategy, process improvement, and operations analysis
You're a Good Fit If You
- Professional experience running or analyzing a business function
- Clear written communication, since most of the work involves explaining your reasoning
- Comfort with ambiguous tasks, and willingness to flag unclear instructions
