About the Role
micro1 is seeking experienced U.S.-licensed Lawyers across a wide range of legal practice areasto contribute to a project focused on improving AI systems' legal reasoning, accuracy, and judgment. In this role, you will apply your legal expertise to evaluate complex legal scenarios, review AI-generated legal work, and provide expert feedback to help train advanced AI models.
What You'll Do
- Analyze legal scenarios involving litigation, corporate transactions, and regulatory or compliance matters to identify key legal issues, risks, and relevant legal principles.
- Review and evaluate AI-generated legal analyses, arguments, contracts, and other legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and sound reasoning.
- Identify legal errors, unsupported conclusions, missing information, and weaknesses in legal reasoning.
- Apply professional legal judgment to complex or ambiguous situations, considering relevant laws, facts, and competing interpretations.
- Provide clear, structured feedback and corrections to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated legal outputs.
You're a Good Fit If You
- Required skills: legal reasoning, issue-spotting, legal writing, document review, attention to detail, written communication, independent work, legal research, ai evaluation, legal technology
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a U.S. law school.
- Active bar license in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
- More than 3 years of substantive post-J.D. legal practice.
- Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting, legal writing, and document review skills.
- Excellent written English communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote contractor environment.
- Experience in any legal practice area, including litigation, corporate, commercial, employment, personal injury, criminal, family, immigration, insurance, intellectual property, healthcare, securities, real estate, tax, privacy, environmental, or regulatory law.
