How to apply to Mercor
Sign up at work.mercor.com with your email (no password; Mercor emails you a link each time) or Google, complete three onboarding steps (name, LinkedIn and resume; work authorization; phone number), then pick a role in Explore and click Apply Now. Each application shows a checklist, typically resume, work authorization, an AI interview and sometimes a written assessment, and you must click Submit at the end.

Step by step
- 1
Create your account
Go to work.mercor.com/login, enter your email and select Sign up, or continue with Google. Mercor uses passwordless email verification, so a one-time link arrives each time you log in. You can browse Explore before you sign up.
- 2
Finish onboarding
Three steps, in this order: your full legal name, email and LinkedIn (or say you have none) plus your resume; your work authorization; and phone verification. Check that your country is supported before you go further.
- 3
Find a role in Explore
Search by title or keyword and sort by Job fit, Trending, Newest or Most pay. Click Apply Now on a listing to see its checklist.
- 4
Complete the checklist
Steps can include uploading your resume, work authorization, an AI interview, a written or multiple-choice assessment, availability, ID or phone verification and resume confirmation. Most can be done in any order; some applications lock each step until the previous one is done.
- 5
Take the AI interview
Use Chrome on a desktop or laptop, allow camera and microphone, and complete the waiting-room checks, including full-screen sharing when the interview needs it. A free, unlimited practice interview is available first.
- 6
Click Submit
Completed steps do not send anything on their own. Click Submit; the application then shows a green Submitted tag and a confirmation screen with the expected timeline.
What catches people out
- Upload your final resume before you submit: a submitted application cannot be edited, though Mercor updates submitted applications with your newest resume.
- One interview can count for many applications, and applications you started earlier can become ready to submit on their own. Check your Applications tab.
- Retakes count across every application that uses that interview. Save them for technical problems and use the practice interview to rehearse.
- Keep location, work authorization, skills and availability current: Mercor's matching system uses them to send Instant Offers for roles you did not apply to.
- If a page freezes, Mercor suggests a hard refresh: Shift + Cmd + R on a Mac or Shift + Ctrl + R on Windows.
